Security and privacy

Your security is our top priority.

The privacy and security of the community is important to us. Sensitive information such as congregation members’ names, expenditure and revenue balances, bank account details, association records and any other document received by us, are therefore kept safe and secure, and the entire system is backed up.

Furthermore, donations made through Holy Shekel provide you with the assurance that your credit card information is safe, thanks to the use of various strict security standards.

For example, the international standard PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is fully implemented by Holy Shekel. This is the standard most credit card companies agreed upon, following the vast compromise of user credit card information by hacker attacks in 2012.

The PCI-DSS standard is made up of a dozen chapters covering the overall demand for all aspects credit holder data security – communication network security measures, access passwords to computer systems, stored data security, and more.

According to this standard, credit card information is not transferred to third parties nor is it stored in the system. For more information check the PCI-DSS Wikipedia entry.

Holy Shekel does not store credit card information, not even for a short time!

In addition, our website is secured using the 128 bit SSL standard by Canadian security giant Rapid SSL.

Holy Shekel will only contact you for the purpose of improving its product, account updates and recommendations, and your information will be used, among others, for the purpose of statistics, research and advertisement.
